As usual, you guys cut to the heart of the matter! Anyone promoting their business online should take a look at your entire series of videos.

Socializing on the internet

People will always have the need to socialize its part of the human condition,just like in the offline world in a job situations were employees gather around the water cooler,to talk about company events the latest news family and anything else as it pertains to their personal life's.People use these situations to have conversations about what's relevant in their life's.Not to talk about the latest and greatest business opportunities.

For a long time now the internet has made it possible though social platforms that you guys discussed in this video to unselfishly promote themselves and their opportunities,spam has become a huge issue people are complaining and Google is listening.Its in Google's best interest to make proper business decisions that will keep them ahead of the curve.Marketers who follow the strategies on how to socialize on the internet properly though the techniques in this video like you guys have said will be rewarded because its the right thing to do.

Will we ever get rid of Spam

As you mentioned much of the so called spam on social media sites is just ignorance.

Competition.....

Perhaps this ignorance is driven by our competitive nature. This is just part of being human.

However, there is another aspect which is not ignorance. It seems that no sooner than we have a brilliant new way to communicate effectively on the internet than the "spam merchants" come up with some way to game the system - flogging a product to make a few bucks before moving onto the next best thing. 

It's usually the same few people pushing the envelope and taking advantage.

There are many other examples where we know it is "bad" and not socially acceptable and despite knowing that we'll still try it out. Maybe that self professed internet guru does have the answer that will give me the competive edge. I know it's against the "flow" but maybe I'll get away with it .......

Take drink driving as an example. We know it is "socially" not the done thing. Yet we do it anyway. Fortunately for our peace loving society most will do the right thing and tow the line.

However, AGAIN there are just a few people that are repeat offenders.

Now there are laws...... and courts that deal with repeat offenders.... whew !!

The repeat offenders are dealt to by their "peers" or a "representation of their peers view" that will dictate an outcome. Whether they loose thier licence, go to jail or how big the fine is.

Most Social Media Sites Give Us This Power

One of the great things about social media is that it already gives us "peer" represention about an issue in real time. You [yes the you the one reading this] have the power to take responsibility for what is going on in your "neck of the woods" and send a clear message to the repeat spam offenders on your media site.

If you have someone who is a repeat spamming offender "ban" them from your list, remove them as a friend or what other means your have at your disposal with your chosen social media so they are nolonger in your circle.

We all have the opportunity to self regulate the ignorant spammers and isolate the repeat offenders. If we all do this it will make it easier for the administrators of the social media sites to deal with the repeat offenders!!

Just like we do offline ..... let's put them in their place!!
