Very interesting concept. Thanks for this!

Exactly...

Hey Tom - This video just makes me smile. Our industry is so simple that people tend to (because they think it's too good to be true) confuse tools, software programs and everything else that's designed to SUPPORT the individual. The individual is the only differentiator in the industry. Awesome message!

To bad there is really more to it then that.

Many people do not take the time to learn the skills they need to filter and qualify. Reading your article that was posted about your career through the times. You have trained for years in speaking/qualifying/handling objections.

Tom you would not tell your kids to just drive the car to the store and get some food because they seen you do it 100 times and its that easy.

I understand what you are saying but maybe you do not deal with training new people. Thanks for posting and nice to see you stuck it out all these years.

Keep it simple, keep it real!

I agree you have to become the person that prospects are attracted to, and sometimes it takes time to develop into that person. I don't understand how what you are saying really works, until you become that person.

Good Nuggets in this video

What you say is true and it is simple..but not easy for most.
Which is fine...anything worth while probably won't be easy.
Many folks like myself have to grow to a level of confidence over time if they have not been in sales or something similar before starting their NWM businesses.
Now I did that over the 90's.
I took my self help seriously because I needed MUCH self help.
I'm a hammer naturally ..by personality.....so everything was a nail.
I said was since I fixed that about myself.
So what's my point?
My point is I agree with what you say but like the "old school" NWM I came from ..most folks will need to start with new thinking through self help before they can even connect with their new leads.
I did learn a great nugget in my "old school" Amway business which is...Do something for your business daily since you can't give the wrong message to the right person..and you can't give the right message to the wrong person.
Ie. My older brother did not do much right getting me into the Amway business in 1992 but I ended up as 90% of his volume.
In other words I was looking and was going to build with or without him.
Thanks for leading Tom.

Way to go...

I completely agree with you. What really matters is, are they drawn to you because you are speaking their language.

I'm going to have to try this approach and see what the results will be.

Thanks for passing this on, as always.

Tom

Nice videoblog! I agree. you have to think from the abundant side, not the lack. If you are developing a relationship with a person, and you direct them to different avenues that will help them GROW as a "marketer" of ANY business, then you have gained their respect and trust. Thank you for sharing your tip of the week! Smooches <3

Consistency and discipline

Hey guys -

Thanks for coming by and sharing your thoughts.

Drew - I appreciate you.

Jerry - Hey partner, good to see you popping by. I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Richard - Hey buddy, thanks for sharing. You are exactly right. The communication and people skills definitely take time to develop.

I train new people on a weekly basis and the one thing that they seem to not see is exactly what you said... It takes time to develop those skills, and the reason for keeping the recorded presentation simple is that it's the only 100% duplicable part of the sponsoring process.

Too often people complicate the process by attempting to add too much extra information to the presentation instead of improving their skills!

Bev - That's exactly the message :) Work on the self more and keep the presentation as simple as possible.

Timothy - Go for it, buddy!

Nicholas - "In other words I was looking and was going to build with or without him." That's THE attitude!

Jerome - Everyone else has pretty much pointed to the same conclusion. Work on the self (whatever the growth area might be) + use tools available effectively = Success!

Michaela - You're welcome. Someone that knows, trusts and likes you is the best person to have in any business.
