Tom Challan is a recruiting expert and coach

in the field of home managed business opportunities (as attested by thousands that benefited from his training... including none other than Dani Johnson herself).

In part 1of his training interview, Tom answers the ever controversial question of whether to build your business the "old school" way or the "new school way"...

His training in this interview will help you increase your sponsoring ratio and save you time (yes and yes... 2 of the most important results in our industry).  If these two benefits can't get you to invest 25 minutes each week for the next 3 weeks watching his training... I don't know what will.

Please cast your vote and leave your feedback.

The full 25-minute episode will go live on Wednesday May 20th, 2009 at 12noon EST.

I like the concluding sentence . . .

"I've come to know that they both work." I think that's the heart of the matter, right there.
If a person commits to Old School or to New School alone, they've got a unicycle. A unicycle requires lots of attention to balance and lots of tweaking to keep it moving.
If a person commits to "whatever works," that is, both Old and New School, they've got a bicycle. A bicycle, once moving requires many fewer tweaks to keep moving and lots less attention.
So, why would anyone choose a unicycle over a bicycle for practical purposes? A unicycle is great for getting attention and giving a performance. A bicycle is better for going places.

Good analogy with a catch.

Great analogy, Tona. I think the key here is that most people like to follow a single strategy. Accepting both old and new school doesn't have to mean doing BOTH at the same time. The bottom line is to follow whatever strategy one sees oneself doing and actually does it on a consistent basis.

I like to look at it this way

I am a mother regardless of whether my children are by my side or away at school or play. I am a network marketer both online when I'm at the computer or when I'm away and at the school, grocery story or doctor's office. It is who I am and I can't and don't turn it off when I hit the button to shut down the computer.
Therefore I can't do anything but ride a "bicycle". It's who I am.
To your success,
Joyce Penner

Old School versus New School

Jerry,

So far, Tona and Joyce have summed up my thoughts - thanks, ladies! :-)

However, I'll add this ...

I like to think of Old School techniques as "Outdoor Advertising" or "Outdoor Marketing" - wearing a button, car door magnets, business cards, brochures, rear window decals, business opportunity meetings, public speaking engagements, etc. - anything I do that's away from the computer.

So let me conclude by saying that I use "Indoor" and "Outdoor" strategies to build my business - old school and new school.

Enjoyed your post!
