Its a brilliant story. I love it brings tears to the eyes each time I hear it. How quickly we give up these days of instant everything. Thanks for the reminder

Tony Robbins teaches exactly

Tony Robbins teaches exactly what Rocky did........."Believe in yourself". Now I'm sure that there are numerous teachers, guru's, mentors, etc. in the direct marketing business and they pretty much focus on two points; helping others and value. However, some of us know that this (marketing) can be a gut wrenching business with many heartaches. So, when I get ramped up with my tools in place you can be sure I'll be providing value and self-worth. It is only when you believe in yourself that you will truely help others. As for rewards, I'll get mine when I see my first superstar on stage taking the award for top producer. Now about money, it's just a medium of exchange. Think about it.

He Knew His Outcome...

What a great inspirational story.  He never compromised and knew his outcome.  If one approach does not work change it!

Common Threads

How many times have we heard this story?

Over and over again, those with crazy success are all cut from the same cloth.

It reminds me of how I got my first job. I got the name of the owner of the clinics I wanted to work for and I called him...at every office, every day for weeks. I had talked to the office manager of one of the clinics so many times that...one day, when I called AGAIN...he was walking in when I called and she just handed him the phone saying..."you need to talk to this guy, he calls here everyday and he's really nice, but I'm tired of leaving messages for you to call him back."

Now, I'm no movie star, but it shows that if you want something bad enough, and you are persistant enough, you can get almost anything done eventually.

Keep after it!

It worked for sly

..now does it work for everyone?  no really, does everyone who doesn't give up reach their goal?

Well, we wouldnt really know would we, because if they didn't reach their goal they either quit...or they died trying.  But sometimes they compromise their goal and convince themselves that they actually wanted something else, and that "was their true calling."  And normally people don't condemn them for that decision if they "seem happy."

Eitherway it seems that undying persistence is only one part of many to get to your end goal, you need to learn the tools of the trade.  Banging your head against a wall will probably knock you out before geting you through it, even if you just keep tryind...better to use a sledge hammer instead.

I love it!

Really good for culling those prospects that think they can't or more than likely won't. I recruit quality into my organization and they are handsomely compensated for working the business that they choose in my suite of businesses.

Thanks for posting!

Know your outcome

What powerful words. Knowing your outcome and just keep trying differnet approaches until you achieve your goals. That is one of the things I love about network marketers... there are willing to live life outside of the box and persue their hopes and dreams for a better future. We are a special group of people. Here's to you overcoming your obstacles!

The cool thing is...

My son heard this story years ago, when he was growing up I used to listen to Tony Robbins when I drove around. He told me last night that the story has always stuck with him, all these years, and now he's toughing out his own dreams, working a full time job, and going to school in the evenings. Goes to show you, you never know what story, what small thing will make a tremendous difference in someone's life!
