ok to comment on your video i have been here for two days and this is all so knew. i have both acct. on my space and face book. i am just starting mlm. still have no clue on what i am doing. i know i am moving up and i have worked really hard to get here.it was hard for me to chose to work with some one i am still learning all of my passwords. anyway i have that passion look at my pages and i wanna link us all together help one another i know how to sell, that i am a master. the money right now i have not seen any but i  have so much passion for this i dream of it in my sleep. i have just started video's tonight. this is overwelming but myspace and face book plus selling magazines door to door for 16yrs has taught me allot  about people. get to know them. find out who ,why ,what, where, the rest will be gravy. i already like this place and you and you are the first video i saw when i got here yesterday and i think my first friend so if i can help iwill hope this is the feedback you were looking for. louie owens jr.

I have personally experienced this.  It was such a struggle for me to find my way - I ended up braking rules that I had no idea about, I felt alone, frustrated and terrified.  I barely knew anything about the company or opportunity at first and yet I was forced to take the position as the expert when I made my contacts.  It was a huge struggle and most people would have given up.  Thankfully my husband & I totally believed in ourselves and the company we are involved in - We refused to fail.

My husband & I have learned a lot from making it work without assistance.  It has made us far better leaders because we refuse to let anyone else go through what we went through.  I don't think there is any way to prevent others from making leadership mistakes, but we can take action ourselves and train others to be true leaders as well.

Yes, this is familiar territory. It takes discipline and time, however I get in touch with my downlown on a regular basis and also provide training cd,s (company) which they can then listen to in their own time.  We also go to training sessions about twice a month on our products and the business side of things.

Remember hopefully your downline will copy the way you are mentoring to them and they in turn will mentor to their business partners in the same way. I am also in the process of deveoping my own website as a capture site for people looking for opportunities and support and considering giving them a copy of this site for themselves (I have no idea about duplicate sites and how they work, but I will get there)

Hi Lena,

I was brand new in this business when I got hooked into GDI.  Not a bad company really but I think that several bad things happened to me all at once.  First, when I say that I was brand new I mean that this was the first opportunity that I actually signed with.  My sponsor didn't actually sponsor me, I was handed to him by a person at the other end of one time e-mail.  I mean I was totally new to everything but this raised a red flag even with me.

I hear what you mean about your up-line holding your hand and I agree that we are all adults here but I didn't know anything and I couldn't even get my immediate contact to help me get into my back office.  He was gracious enough to send me to a couple of company sponsored 'training sites' and that was the last I heard from him, EVER.  I left GDI two months later. 

Now I'm not a quitter, never have been, never will be, but when it becomes so blatant that no one in the up line cares about some new guy that they didn't even recruit, and not knowing who to talk to and being hit with my fees every month, enough became enough real quick. 

I tried to contact everyone all of the way to the fifth level and actually got more help from the last level going up than I did anyone else.  Anyway, I had finally had it when I figured out from other sites that this isn't the way it was supposed to be and left.  GDI is no more than a recruiting opportunity with a VERY over-priced web site that I could never get any help with either.

What the answers are, seems to be elusive.  You can't MAKE people care.  It seems that the bonuses offered for new recruits was far more important than training the ones that were already there.  Once the bonus was paid, no one cared about attrition.

I must mention on behalf of the people out there that have wonderful support and how they got it!

I did not know my upline 6 1/2 years ago, when I got involved in network mktg. My sponsor quit after two years, and I cried and pretty much mourned her like a loss, it was horrible. But I really liked what I was doing to help other people, so I just prayed about it,and decided to reach Up and Sideways for support; and I want you to know that I have made thousands of new friends. As you go out and help someone else, it will come back to you ten fold. I offered my services and help and they did the same, it was a win win situation for sure. Now today 6 years later, we are the all best of friends and have all grown together. We are now like family...it's sometimes up to you to reach out; I too am not looking to babysit anyone, but would love to find people that have hearts to help others. You might want to share with your upline what your goals are. Where do you want to be in 1 - 5 - 10 years from now...Find someone that will sponsor you, not just recruit you, allow them to either walk with you or to run with you to your future....let them know what you will do to get where you want to go. Just stay forward focused, you will be well on your way to your dreams.

Agreed, I am going through that now.. I am getting my support from people like you and others people group but just not my group which I sign up on. Lena your good at what you do. Thank you for this video. I feel all alone and no one believe in me. But, others in the community have help out some I do feel better. Trying to recover from my past experience.
